# International Masonry Society

> The International Masonry Society (IMS) is the official professional body for the masonry industry, promoting research, professional development and international collaboration in masonry design, construction and materials.

The IMS organises international conferences, seminars and symposia. Its flagship event, the International Masonry Conference (IMC), is held periodically with partner organisations — the 11th IMC takes place 12–15 July 2026 in Lübeck, Germany. The Society publishes Masonry International, its journal, and maintains a large library of publications comprising all papers presented at its conferences plus articles from the journal. Journal articles are free to IMS members and available to non-members for a small fee; conference papers can also be downloaded for a fee. Revenue from these publication sales, and the profile of Masonry International (which also has a dedicated presence at masonry.international), are important to the Society.
